National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) November 8-11, 2007

“Discover The Way”

Now is the time to plan to attend the biggest national event for the young Catholic church in America!  NCYC is held every other year in a different city, with Columbus, Ohio being our destination for 2007!  You will have the opportunity to join approximately 25,000 other Catholic youth from all over America as we gather to celebrate our faith.  The weekend will be filled with great speakers, awesome activities, more music than you can listen to, breakout sessions relevant to today’s teens, and INSANE regional representative trading of everything from bracelets to cowboy hats! 

As for trading, Indiana shares a region (Region 7) with our neighboring states of Illinois and Wisconsin… we’re America’s dairyland, making our mascot the cow!  As you make plans to attend NCYC, every time you are out shopping you will want to look for cow related items to trade!  Popular items in the past have been cow print bandanas, cow bell necklaces made from 1 ½” white wedding bells available at Ben Franklin, cow print cowboy hats, Cow Pez, Cow Tail candy, ANYTHING you can find.  You can trade for whatever someone has that you’d like to make your own!  Trading is great fun and you can view my collection anytime at the Youth House!

We’ll most likely travel by motor coach to Columbus with our Deanery and/or Archdiocese.  We’ll stay in a really nice hotel, although we really won’t be at the hotel that much.  Covered in the cost are your conference registration fee, transportation, lodging, T-shirt, and maybe a couple of meals.  Costs are expected to be at least $500.  Fundraising will be available for those who want the opportunity.  You should be able to earn a large portion of the cost of your trip if you commit to working our fundraisers. 

Please complete the form below and return it along with a $25 early registration fee to Tammy Becht at the Youth Ministry office before November 19.  You can even drop it in the weekly collection at church!  Just mark your envelope with NCYC-Tammy Becht and you’ll be all set! 

Note* After November 19 you may still register, but the required registration fee increases to $50!
