“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. (Matthew 28:18-20)
'Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons and daughters of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: "Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water and the word."' (Catechism of the Catholic Church - CCC 1213)
St. Mary – Navilleton Parish celebrates the Sacrament of Baptism for infants during the celebration of Sunday Mass at different times during the year. In preparation for infant Baptism, parents are asked to participate in the Parent & Infant Baptism sessions.
Adults who have not received the Sacrament of Baptism are prepared in the process called the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA).
We have baptism preparation sessions quarterly.
We celebrate baptism at scheduled Sunday Eucharists found on the Infant Baptism schedule.
You are to attend all the sessions.
