The Activities Center at St. Mary Navilleton can adequately hold deanery basketball games, but also provides a spacious and comfortable setting for a wedding reception at a reasonable price. Other events hosted by the Activity Center are family reunions, voting location, emergency shelter, deanery youth events, parish card parties and dances, and many other large gatherings.
The Activities Center was built in the summer of 1983, at the end of Father Gerdon's duties as pastor. Twenty-five years later, we completed the process of giving the Activity Center a face-lift, upgrading it's apprearance inside and out. Such projects completed include exterior painting, interior painting of the bathrooms and kitchens, and the placement of new tile flooring in the kitchen, bathrooms, and perimeter of the main floor. We have also added new louvers and fans to insure proper insulation, and temperature controls of the building. In addition to the exterior painting, we have added new awnings and landscaping! We are extremely pleased with the results of these projects and hope to provide an appealing and pleasurable facility for parishioners and anyone in our community.
