Active Members: An active member is one who participates regularly in the meetings and charitable activities of the Vincentians Conference or Council into which he/she has been received.
To become an active member, one must accept thebasic principles of the Ssociety, belong to the Catholic Church, and be received as a Vincentian brother or sister into the SVDP Conference or Council with which he or she will be affiliated. Normally membership implies Conference affiliation. Less commonly is membership obtained through direct Council affiliation. Only active members hold office in the organization.

Associate Members: An associate member is one who accepts the Society's basic principles but does not participate fully in the Life of the Conference or Council which has enrolled them. An associate member is one who is "on call" takes part in the meetings and charitable activities of the Conference and who provides finacial support on a regular basis.
Contributing Member A contributing member is one who regularly or in a substantial way provides financial support but who does not engage in the work of the Society.
Like Active Members, Associate and Contributing members are invited to attend the general and festival meetings of the Society.
